An active soloist and chamber musician, Mr. Fisher performed Schumann’s Cello Concerto last year with the New World Symphony. In March 2017, he will give another performance of the Schumann Concerto with the Lakewood Symphony in Colorado. He has performed recitals throughout Europe and the United States, and is a regular performer on the Englewood Arts Chamber Music Series in Colorado. While a member of the New World Symphony, Mr. Fisher recorded and performed with Miami‐based indie‐folk trio The alt Default, formed by current and former New World fellows.

Mr. Fisher has performed as Principal Cello with the Colorado Symphony, the New World Symphony, the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the Lakes Area Music Festival Orchestra, and the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra. He recently joined the Strings Music Festival in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, for their final orchestra concert of the 2016 season.

Mr. Fisher holds a Master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music and a Bachelor’s degree from the Eastman School of Music, studying under Hans Jørgen Jensen and Steven Doane. Important mentors include Yo‐Yo Ma, Richard Hirschl, the Ying Quartet and Rosemary Elliott. He plays on a French cello made by Francois Caussin, 1830. ​
