2016/17 Youth Concerts

SYMPHONIC STORYTELLING (GRADES 3-8)

The 2016-2017 Colorado Symphony Youth Concerts “Symphonic Storytelling” features symphonic literature from every major historical era, and composers from Europe, Asia and the Americas. Students will be guided through a process of imagination linking the music they hear to elements of story such as characters, setting, actions, and consequences. Many of the works students will hear at the concert are themselves based on stories. These stories will be included with the Colorado State Music Standards and Common Core aligned materials featuring the program’s repertoire, enabling classroom study in advance of the field trip. Make your reservations early!
