Set to texts of Walt Whitman, Vaughan Williams’ romantic, larger than life choral orchestral work evokes the sea in all its majesty and fury. The young 30-year-old composer created an awesome work of searing intensity and remarkable ingenuity which receives its Colorado Symphony premiere.
