Colorado Symphony Kids proudly introduces new youth concert programs sure to delight students, teachers and parents and bring the thrill of the performance of a full symphony orchestra to life.
Each Youth Concert experience includes:
- Concert program in Boettcher Concert Hall
- Grade-level specific teaching materials align with Colorado State Standards
- CD of the program repertoire performed by the Colorado Symphony

Curriculum Connections: Music, History and Social Studies
This program demonstrates how the orchestra grew in size from the Baroque period to the 21st century and introduces instruments of the orchestra.

This program demonstrates how the orchestra grew in size from the Baroque period to the 20th century and introduces instruments from violins to percussion.

Modeled on the acclaimed 2011 Inside the Score program, this performance tells the story of Beethoven’s tragic life illuminated by his musical genius and symphonic triumphs.

Times: 9:50 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. (duration 50 minutes)
NEW! Cost: $10.00 per student/adult. For groups of 20 or more, the coordinating teacher attends free. Financial assistance is available.

Elementary School (Grade 4, also appropriate for Grades 3 and 5)
Curriculum Connections: Music, Math, Life Science
These popular programs move into Boettcher Concert Hall in an exciting combined event! Explore the relationship between music and mathematics, and music and life science in an extended concert with hands-on intermission and post-concert activities.
Dates: April 9 & 23, 2013
Time: One performance from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Cost: $10.00 per student/adult. For groups of 20 or more, the coordinating teacher attends free. Financial assistance is available.
