Claude Sim has been with the Colorado Symphony since 1999. He frequently performs as soloist with the orchestra. A graduate of Oberlin Conservatory of Music, he has played first violin and viola with the critically acclaimed Miró and Pacifica String Quartets. He frequently performs as guest artist and concertmaster at the Strings Music Festival in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He has performed as a principal player with the Baltimore Symphony, and is a substitute violinist with the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Claude performs regularly at the Mercury Café with Extasis, the Denver based tango ensemble. An avid jazz musician, he has played at Dazzle Restaurant with his own jazz group, and has recorded a CD which features guest trumpeter Greg Gisbert. Most recently, he appeared on stage with indie rock band Devotchka for sold out shows in Colorado.
