David Waldman

David studied music at Indiana University with Franco Gulli and at Northwestern University with Blair Milton before joining the Colorado Symphony Orchestra in 1994. In the same year, he was the winner of the Northwestern University Concerto Competition. He played with the Grant Park Symphony from 1993-1997. His favorite composer is Richard Strauss, though his musical tastes include the Beatles, XTC and John Coltrane. He and his wife Gwen enjoy cooking and hiking. David comes from a family of musicians and is proud to play violin duets with his daughter Emily. His son Scott plays the cello.
