James Carroll

Principal

Jim has been a member of the Colorado Symphony since 1971. He studied bass at the High School of Performing Arts in NYC (upon which the school in "Fame!" was based!!), the Juilliard School, and the Hartt School of Music in CT. He has performed with Dallas, San Antonio, and Honolulu  Symphony Orchestras and was appointed Principal Bass of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte Carlo. Jim is so proud of his weekly contribution to the Colorado Symphony  over these 39 years that his daughter had a baseball cap made exclusively for him. If you see a guy leaving Boettcher this weekend wearing a cap with Colorado Symphony  in bold print on the front and Principal Bass in small print on the back, say hello and let him know what you thought of the fabulous bass section's performance!
