Paul Naslund

Colorado born Acting Principal Trombone Paul Naslund earned his Bachelors and Masters of Music from the University of Michigan under H. Dennis Smith before joining the Colorado Symphony Orchestra in 1990. His playing experiences include the Colorado Music Festival, the National Repertory Orchestra and the Ann Arbor and Flint, Michigan, Symphonies. He has recorded with the CSO, Boulder Brass and the Detroit Chamber Winds. His music preferences are for 20th century orchestral and large brass ensemble. His favorite composers are Stravinsky and Christopher Rouse. An outdoorsman, he enjoys fishing, camping, hiking and bicycling. Gardening, woodworking and old house restoration are also among his interests. Paul is married and has three children.
