Colorado Symphony to bring Beethoven, Chopin, and normalcy back to Boettcher Concert Hall

For the first time in over a year, the Colorado Symphony will perform live, indoor concerts at Denver’s Boettcher Concert Hall. The first show of the symphony’s 2021-22 season is scheduled for September 17, when Grammy-winning pianist Emanuel Ax will perform Frédéric Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2.

After being nomadic for the past fifteen months due to COVID-19 health restrictions, Colorado Symphony will return to the Boettcher Concert Hall beginning in September as part of its 2021/22 Classics Season with seventeen titles across forty-nine concerts. Subscription tickets for the 2021/22 Season and customizable packages are on sale now, along with flex passes, which offer six ticket vouchers guests can use for best-available seats to any concert in the season, redeemable one week before the selected concert.

On Monday, August 16, 2021Red Rocks Amphitheatre will host Not Our First Goat Rodeo. With Yo-Yo Ma on celloStuart Duncan on fiddleEdgar Meyer on bass, and Chris Thile on mandolin, it will certainly be a night to remember. The concert showcases a blend of classical and bluegrass music performed by some renowned virtuosos in each respective genre presented by AEG Presents in conjunction with The Colorado Symphony.​ While the four musicians will reunite on stage for the first time in a decade, featured vocalist Aoife O’Donovan will also join them for a night under the stars.

It’s putting on a free concert at Dillon’s outdoor amphitheater. Tickets for this event are free, but you need to reserve tickets at dillonamphitheater.com. The venue opens at 3 p.m. and the show is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
