Cynthia Erivo, a 2020 Academy Award nominee for her performance in Harriet, and a Tony, Emmy and Grammy award-winning performer, is on her way to Denver for an evening with the Colorado Symphony. On February 15, for one night only, she'll treat the crowd to songs made famous by Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Beyoncé, and other remarkable artists.

Singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile will team up with the Colorado Symphony for a two-night Red Rocks stand this fall. The musical forces will come together Sept. 12-13 at Red Rocks in Morrison.

Groups of musicians with the Colorado Symphony recently played for an animal audience — giraffes, orangutans and a pregnant greater one-horned rhino — at the Denver Zoo as part of a harmonious partnership forged by a shared sense of community.

The giraffes at the Denver Zoo had a front row seat to a special show by the Colorado Symphony Tuesday. Dobby the giraffe seemed to especially enjoy the performance — and even hopped along to the music, and leaned in for a closer look at the musicians.
