The Colorado Symphony is committed to #PlayOn, and the latest way it will be doing so is through the Colorado Symphony Association’s new Virtual Stage. Virtual Stage is an on-demand digital video and audio content portal available through the Colorado Symphony’s website. The first Virtual Stage concert, which became available on Dec. 1, is a full-length video of the Colorado Symphony’s performance of Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” at Red Rocks from earlier this summer. This concert was one of about two dozen that the Colorado Symphony performed live in a socially-distanced setting with a limited amount of tickets available.

With Boettcher Concert Hall performances cancelled through May 30, 2021, the Colorado Symphony has unveiled Virtual Stage, a digital content platform through ColoradoSymphony.org developed to allow the orchestra to Play On over the next few months while generating revenue for musician salaries and continued operations. Through Virtual Stage, patrons can pay to watch videos of archival performances and never-seen-before shows that were recorded safely, without an audience, through the fall at Boettcher.

More importantly, Colorado’s economy and quality of life would be very different. Specifically, you’re missing nearly $2 billion, as well as immeasurable social and cultural benefits, if the Front Range has no performing arts venues and organizations. Also, the most active and supportive live arts patrons in the nation would be missing their opportunities to experience challenging dramas, stunning ballet, captivating symphonies and much more.
