Brett Mitchell is bringing his love of pop culture to Colorado's classical scene.

 Maestro Mitchell's expertise with contemporary music is sure to make this a memorable performance.

The orchestral musicians allow the arrangements — under direction of Anderson's longtime musical associate John O'Hara — to expand upon the classical motifs that were often hinted at in the original studio recordings. But there remain technical challenges in attempting to combine rock and classical musicians, especially onstage.

Colorado Symphony bassoonist Roger Soren has been teaching Slouka since she was in the sixth grade. She takes private lessons and works with him at Denver School of the Arts where he is a practicing artist.
