Colorado Symphony Announces Three Cello Quartet Performances In DPAC Galleria

Announcing the latest set of outdoor summer performances from the Colorado Symphony, featuring four cellists over three nights under the glass at the Denver Performing Arts Complex Galleria from August 27-29, 2020. A socially distanced evening of soaring live classical cello awaits guests with cash bar and small plate offerings by Prelude + Post. This presentation is in partnership with Denver Arts & Venues. Each of these programs will be 60 minutes in length and will not have an intermission. Total ticket sales will be limited to each performance and audiences will be seated in a socially distanced setup throughout the outdoor Galleria.

The Colorado Symphony returns to Red Rocks August 12– 16 for an encore run of Acoustic on the Rocks performances featuring the Colorado Symphony Strings; New set of performances announced for August 19 – 23 featuring the Colorado Symphony Brass and Percussion Ensembles

Back by popular demand, the Colorado Symphony announces 10 new performances of Acoustic on the Rocks conducted by Resident Conductor Christopher Dragon at Red Rock Park & Amphitheatre. The Acoustic on the Rocks series, which debuted July 29 – August 2, continues with five encore performances from August 12 – 16, 2020. Mirroring the first set of Acoustic on the Rocks concerts, these five performances will feature breathtaking works from Mozart, Tchaikovsky, and more in front of socially distanced and limited capacity crowds. In addition, the Colorado Symphony announces a brand-new set of five Acoustic on the Rocks performances featuring Colorado Symphony Brass & Percussion ensembles in five limited-seating performances from August 19 – 23, 2020. 

Fourteen Denver Music Organizations Unite to Launch the Alliance for Music Education Equity

Collaborative organization will address inequities in music education across the Denver metro area

Announcing the formation of the Alliance for Music Education Equity (AMEE), a new collaborative organization addressing inequities in music education across the Denver metro area. Currently serving 14 music organizations that work with Pre-K to university students in a broad range of musical genres, AMEE uses a collective impact approach to facilitate a shared vision and strategy to address diversity, equity and inclusivity (DEI) in music education. Functioning as a backbone organization, AMEE is the glue that strengthens connections and pilots the work necessary to enact social change.

The Colorado Symphony announces Acoustic on the Rocks — five summer 2020 limited-seating performances at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre from July 29 to August 2, featuring incredible classical repertoire in a once-in-a-lifetime, live acoustic performance at Colorado’s most iconic outdoor music venue.  Total ticket sales will be limited to each performance and audiences will be seated in a socially distanced setup throughout the Amphitheatre seating bowl. Households will be allowed to sit together, and must adhere to Red Rocks Amphitheatre event attendance guidelines.

Colorado Symphony Cancels Concerts Through October 31, 2020 Due To COVID-19

On account credit available for all cancelled concerts through June 30, 2021

The Colorado Symphony Association regretfully announces the cancellation of all September and October, 2020 concert titles due to the COVID-19 virus. In addition, the November 12 performance of the Vienna Boys Choir in Concert and the November 29 performance of The Ten Tenors Home For The Holidays have also been cancelled. All ticketholders will be notified directly of the cancellations via email and offered a variety of options concerning their tickets. These cancellations align with the City and County of Denver in compliance with the revised CDC guidelines that promote social distancing for the foreseeable future.
