Colorado Symphony Releases 2016/17 Season Schedule
Subscription packages on sale Feb. 1, and Single Tickets on Sale Aug. 1
The Colorado Symphony released its 2016/17 season schedule today, including more than 70 performances under 43 concert titles across Masterworks, Special, Geek, Family and other series. Subscription tickets go on sale today, with early subscriber benefits before March 18. Single tickets go on sale August 1.
The 2016/17 season starts with Brahms Piano Concerto No. 2 on Sept. 16-17, 2016, and ends with Mahler Symphony No. 3 conducted by Andrew Litton on May 19-21, 2017. The Colorado Symphony is proud to feature more than 30 guest conductors and artists in the upcoming season, as well as the world-premiere of the violin concerto Rising Phoenix by Daniel Kellogg.
“The entire 16/17 season was created from the idea that the Colorado Symphony is for everyone in the community, and that we need to have a concert line up that reflects that,” says Tony Pierce, Senior Vice President of Program Innovation. “We have many incredible concerts in the Masterworks series, and then we also have everything from Second City and Ben Folds joining our orchestra, to The Music of Michael Jackson and Colorado’s own Dianne Reeves.”
Multiple subscription packages are available including pre-set packages based on concert series (on sale Feb. 1); Custom Design packages allowing users to build their own subscription package by picking 8 or 16 concerts with selected seats (on sale Feb. 15); and also the Flex Pass, which offers 6 ticket vouchers that guests can use for any concert in the season for best-available seats, redeemable one week before the selected concert (on sale Feb. 15).
