2019 Colorado Symphony Ball Raises Over $1 Million

The Colorado Symphony’s largest fundraiser of the year was held April 6 at the Fillmore Auditorium.

The 2019 Colorado Symphony Ball, Speak Easy Rock Hard, raised over $1 million dollars in support of the Colorado Symphony. Taking place at the historic Fillmore Auditorium on Saturday, April 6, 2019,  the event included a performance by local rockers The Originators along with the Colorado Symphony for a Rock and Roll performance that thrilled guests and musicians alike.

Mezzo-soprano Hannah Ludwig has been announced as featured soloist on the Colorado Symphony’s April 26-28 performances of Sergei Prokofiev’s Alexander Nevsky at Boettcher Concert Hall. The performances also features Rimsky-Korsakov’s Russian Easter Overture and Borodin’s “Polovtsian Dances” from Prince Igor before culminating in Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture.

The Harry Potter Film Concert Series returns to Boettcher Concert Hall with your Colorado Symphony performing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallowsth – Part 1 in Concert, the second to last film in the Harry Potter series. On Friday, January 3 and Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 1:00 p.m., the Colorado Symphony will perform Alexandre Desplat’s magical score from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallowsth – Part 1 while the film plays in high-definition on a 40-foot screen.

Brett Mitchell's third season as music director offers numerous reasons to celebrate including the 35th anniversary of the Colorado Symphony Chorus, Yumi Hwang-Williams’ 20th season as Concertmaster, and Beethoven’s 250th birthday in 2020.
