The Colorado Symphony has partnered with Denver Botanic Gardens for a socially distanced alphorn duet of “Amazing Grace” featuring Colorado Symphony Principal Horn Michael Thornton and Matthew Eckenhoff in commemoration of Make Music Day. The performance took place in the Gardens' picturesque Mordecai Children's Garden, that remains closed to the public. The main gardens recently reopened after an extended closure as Colorado dealt with restrictions following the outbreak of COVID-19. 

As the presenters of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows™ Part 2 in Concert at Boettcher Concert Hall, the Colorado Symphony Association is committed to the safety and peace of mind of all audiences, orchestra members, and venue staff.  As such, in line with the latest mandates from the State of Colorado and City and County of Denver, we regrettably must reschedule the three performances of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows™ Part 2 in Concert at Boettcher Concert Hall scheduled to take place July 17-19, 2020. These performances will be rescheduled for  Friday, July 16, 2021, Saturday, July 17, 2021, and Sunday, July 18, 2021.

The Colorado Symphony Association regretfully announces the postponement of remaining 2019/20 Season concerts and events through May 31, 2020, in an effort to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus. All ticketholders will be notified directly of the postponement via email and offered a variety of options concerning their tickets. These postponements align with the City and County of Denver in compliance with the revised CDC guidelines that promote social distancing for the foreseeable future. There is still no confirmed date for when and how we may resume operations as an institution; however, the musicians and staff are working diligently to identify creative solutions to keep our audiences and community engaged.

Expanding on our weekly Virtual Music Hour, the Colorado Symphony invites families to #PlayOn with the MusiCurious Instrument Interview Series. Specially designed for the young and young at heart, this series explores the wonders of the orchestra through video demonstrations featuring Colorado Symphony musicians that are perfect for audiences of all ages. The MusiCurious Instrument Interview videos will be released bi-weekly and will be available at ColoradoSymphony.org. Stay tuned for updates and subscribe to the Colorado Symphony eNotes for the upcoming Instrument Interview schedule.
