The Colorado Symphony announces the 2020 Colorado Symphony Ball, Masquerade at the Mission Ballroom, to be held Saturday, April 25, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. at Denver’s Mission Ballroom. Resident Conductor Christopher Dragon and the Colorado Symphony will be joined onstage by special guest vocalist Hilary Kole, providing music and style for an evening celebrating symphonic excellence.

The Colorado Symphony has announced repertoire for Legendary Women’s Voices: An Evening with Cynthia Erivo on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Boettcher Concert Hall. This performance features the Tony®, Emmy®, and GRAMMY® Award-winning Erivo giving voice to music made famous by the greatest female singers of all time, including Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, and Ella Fitzgerald.

The Colorado Symphony has announced a repertoire change for their January 10-12 Classics Concerts at Boettcher Concert Hall. Originally scheduled to include pianist Olga Kern performing the Barber Piano Concerto, the concert will now feature Kern as featured soloist on Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor.

The Colorado Symphony has announced a pianist change for their February 7-9 performance of Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2. It is with great regret that pianist Ingrid Fliter has withdrawn from her upcoming Colorado Symphony performances on the advice of her doctors who have recommended that she not fly during her pregnancy.

A Harmonious Collaboration

Denver Zoo and the Colorado Symphony Teamed Up to Do Something Special for Their Animals and Musicians with Unexpected Results

The Colorado Symphony and Denver Zoo recently joined forces to do something special for the Zoo's animals. Musicians from the Colorado Symphony went on to play impromptu concerts for animals around the Zoo, including Tensing, the pregnant greater one-horned rhino, Dobby, the Zoo's famous two-year-old giraffe, and the Zoo’s Sumatran orangutan family. The collaboration produced incredible results, proving that music is indeed a universal language.
