Fourteen Denver Music Organizations Unite to Launch the Alliance for Music Education Equity

Collaborative organization will address inequities in music education across the Denver metro area

Announcing the formation of the Alliance for Music Education Equity (AMEE), a new collaborative organization addressing inequities in music education across the Denver metro area. Currently serving 14 music organizations that work with Pre-K to university students in a broad range of musical genres, AMEE uses a collective impact approach to facilitate a shared vision and strategy to address diversity, equity and inclusivity (DEI) in music education. Functioning as a backbone organization, AMEE is the glue that strengthens connections and pilots the work necessary to enact social change.

The Colorado Symphony announces Acoustic on the Rocks — five summer 2020 limited-seating performances at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre from July 29 to August 2, featuring incredible classical repertoire in a once-in-a-lifetime, live acoustic performance at Colorado’s most iconic outdoor music venue.  Total ticket sales will be limited to each performance and audiences will be seated in a socially distanced setup throughout the Amphitheatre seating bowl. Households will be allowed to sit together, and must adhere to Red Rocks Amphitheatre event attendance guidelines.

Colorado Symphony Cancels Concerts Through October 31, 2020 Due To COVID-19

On account credit available for all cancelled concerts through June 30, 2021

The Colorado Symphony Association regretfully announces the cancellation of all September and October, 2020 concert titles due to the COVID-19 virus. In addition, the November 12 performance of the Vienna Boys Choir in Concert and the November 29 performance of The Ten Tenors Home For The Holidays have also been cancelled. All ticketholders will be notified directly of the cancellations via email and offered a variety of options concerning their tickets. These cancellations align with the City and County of Denver in compliance with the revised CDC guidelines that promote social distancing for the foreseeable future.

Colorado Symphony & Wonderbound Announce International Composition For Dance Competition

Winning submissions will debut in original symphonic and dance performance on October 15, 2021

The Colorado Symphony and Wonderbound, a contemporary ballet company in Denver, are seeking original compositions for a collaborative performance featuring two world premiere dance works created and performed live by the Colorado Symphony and Wonderbound. The works will premier October 15, 2021 in Denver, Colorado. Composers may submit compositions through December, 11 2020 for one of the two choreographic narratives. Two winners will be selected from the submitted entries.

Colorado Symphony Announces DaVita Kidney Care As Title Sponsor For Independence Eve Virtual Concert Event on July 3 and 4

Featuring small ensemble performances and collaborations with local Colorado arts organizations, the Independence Event Celebration will benefit the Center for African American Health, The Center on Colfax, Civic Center Conservancy, Food Bank of the Rockies, Food for Thought Denver and Rose Andom Center through event partner Community First Foundation and will broadcast on Denver7 and YouTube

The Colorado Symphony is proud to announce DaVita as title sponsor and lead supporter of the Colorado Symphony and Denver7’s Independence Eve Virtual Concert and Independence Day Replay, in partnership with the Civic Center Conservancy and Community First Foundation. The broadcast virtual event features socially distanced performances by Colorado Symphony small ensembles, with featured partner performances from Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble, Colorado Ballet, Opera Colorado and more. The concert event encourages viewers to donate to one of six local charities affected by COVID-19.
