A stunning tribute to the Queen of Soul, this program features Colorado favorite Capathia Jenkins and three-time GRAMMY® Award nominee Ryan Shaw performing such iconic hits as “Respect,” “Think,” “A Natural Woman,” “Chain of Fools,” “Amazing Grace,” and many others. 

Capacity Increased To 6300 For The Music Of John Williams At Red Rocks

May 23 and 25 concerts will feature music from Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, and more!

In adherence to state and local guidelines, the Colorado Symphony has announced increased capacity for the May 23 and 25, 2021 performances of The Music of John Williams at Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre. Capacity, which had previously been 2500, will now be 6300 for each performance. Tickets are on sale now for May 23 and 25.  

Colorado Symphony To Receive $15,000 Grant From The National Endowment For The Arts

Grant will support Youth Concerts and Colorado Symphony education initiatives for the 2021/22 Season

The Colorado Symphony has been approved for a $15,000 Grants for Arts Projects award to support the Lift Every Voice (LEV) youth concerts. This project will support four extensions of the LEV youth concerts through the 2021/22 Season including a residency by composer Omar Thomas, mentorship opportunities for schools from collaborative artists and CSA musicians, a Summer Teacher Fellowship, and a culminating Be Bold Youth Exhibition featuring student submissions in the Denver Performing Arts Complex at a dedicated family concert. This project is among the more than 1,100 projects across America totaling nearly $27 million that were selected during this second round of Grants for Arts Projects fiscal year 2021 funding.

Announcing Chamber Music Series With Musicians Of The Colorado Symphony

Series of 11 concert events will take place at the Galleria in the Denver Performing Arts Complex

Announcing the Colorado Symphony’s Chamber Music Series featuring musicians of the Colorado Symphony. Audiences can experience a series of 11 open air, outdoor chamber music concerts under the glass in the Denver Performing Arts Complex Galleria while small ensembles of Colorado Symphony musicians perform soaring classical repertoire to be enjoyed in a safe, physically distanced manner.  Performance dates will be May 28, 29 (2), and 30 (2); June 17, 18, 19 (2), and 20 (2). Performance dates with single performances will begin at 6pm MST. Performance dates with two concerts will have start times of 3pm and 6pm MST.
