The Colorado Symphony will proudly co-host the first-ever Denver Music Education Convening in conjunction with the Denver Young Artists Orchestra and El Sistema Colorado on October 3 and 4, 2019 at The Commons on Champa. The goal of the convening is to identify and implement actions that increase equity, diversity, and inclusivity for Denver youth music education in a transformational, measurable, and sustainable manner.

The Colorado Symphony will present the Colorado premiere of Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi Thursday, February 27 and Friday February 28, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Boettcher Concert Hall. These performances feature a screening of the complete film Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi, with Oscar®-winning composer John Williams’ musical score performed live to the films by the Colorado Symphony. The concerts will be led by the Colorado Symphony’s Music Director, Brett Mitchell.

The Colorado Symphony has announced an additional performance of The Music of Selena, taking place at Boettcher Concert Hall on October 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. In homage to the “Queen of Tejano Music,” the Colorado Symphony brings the iconic music of Selena Quintanilla to life in a way audiences have never heard it before: backed by a full, world-class symphony orchestra and featuring sensational soloist Isabel Sánchez.
