Colorado Symphony Announces Two Performances With The Pedro Giraudo Tango Quartet

Presented in partnership with Denver Arts & Venues, Latin GRAMMY Award® winner composer/bassist Pedro Giraudo and his quartet join the Colorado Symphony for two evenings of spectacular music in April 2020. The first will take place Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Boettcher Concert Hall with the Colorado Symphony while the second will occur Saturday, April 25, 2020 at the Studio Loft at Ellie Caulkins Opera House with members of the Colorado Symphony.

The Order Of Nature, the highly anticipated collaboration from acclaimed genre-bending solo artist Jim James, composer/conductor/music director Teddy Abrams and the Louisville Orchestra was released today via Decca Gold. The composition will be performed live at Boettcher Concert Hall on May 15, 2020 along with James, Abrams, and the Colorado Symphony.

The Denver Young Artists Orchestra, the Colorado Symphony, and El Sistema Colorado hosted the first-ever Denver Music Education Convening on October 3 and 4, 2019. The convening saw thirty-nine organizations present including Denver Public Schools, Bonfils-Stanton Foundation, SCFD, Universities, and numerous Not for Profit 501(c)3 Organizations. The goal of the convening was to identify and implement actions that increase equity, diversity, and inclusivity for Denver youth music education in a transformational, measurable, and sustainable manner.

The Colorado Symphony will unveil a new four screen visual experience for their Movie at the Symphony performances during the 2019/20 season. The upgraded screen setup, which was made possible through collaboration with Denver Arts & Venues, puts four screens directly over the Boettcher Concert Hall stage, giving every patron seated throughout the theatre in the round an incredible, theatrical experience.
