An accomplished violinist and teacher from Washington, Dr. Ryan Jacobsen’s passion for music has touched the lives of many people in Colorado and beyond. Ryan avidly performs orchestral and chamber music throughout the front range, with a particular interest in inspiring and connecting with budding young musicians. He was recently invited to perform alongside the University of Colorado, Boulder faculty on the Faculty Tuesday series, and has also concertized internationally as part of the graduate string quartet in residence at the Siena International Music Festival. In addition to playing with the Colorado Symphony, Ryan is a member of the Colorado Ballet Orchestra and the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra. Ryan also maintains a large studio, teaching violin and viola students of all ages and abilities.

Ryan holds a Doctor of Musical Arts and Masters of Music from the University of Colorado, where he studied with Charles Wetherbee.  In his spare time, he enjoys backpacking through the mountains and canyons of Colorado and Utah with his wife and dog Leo.
