Selin (she/her) is a versatile arts professional with experience in arts administration, performance and production, music education, and social policy. She holds a Master of Music in Music Education from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Studies and Music from Duke University.
As an arts administrator, Selin began her career in Denver working as a Production Associate with the Japanese Arts Network and Box Office lead with Theater of the Mind, an immersive experience premiered by DCPA Off-Center. Selin joined the CSA in 2023 as a Patron Services Associate and transitioned to the Development team one year later. Today, she works as the Development Operations Coordinator at the CSA and as a House Manager at DCPA.
Selin is deeply passionate about education and access to the arts. As a graduate student, she led the Arts & Music Programs for Education in Detention Centers, which programmed Hip Hop and Composition classes at the Cook County juvenile detention facility, and she taught middle and high school orchestras across the Chicago area. Her work dedicated to growing audiences and engaging the CSA community is her ultimate passion — music is the dearest thing in her life and she believes in the transformative power that it can have in all lives.
Selin’s family is from Istanbul, Turkey and she is a proud Mediterranean! She grew up playing the horn and piano; She is a little out of practice (a lot…) but still enjoys playing music with friends and family.
