Katie Skawski (she/her) joined the Colorado Symphony team in 2022 and currently serves as the Director of Development. Having worked in New York City, Los Angeles and the South East in philanthropy and the arts, Katie is passionate about fostering equity and access and harnessing the resources of arts & cultural institutions to make communities a better place for its residents. Prior to the Symphony, Katie worked at A Place Called Home (Los Angeles), The Growing Studio (New York City) and Carnegie Hall. She specializes in non-profit leadership and institutional fundraising.

Katie grew up in South Carolina and holds a Bachelor of Music in Singing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Prior to becoming a fundraiser, Katie worked as a professional singer and actress and performed in musical theatre around the world. In her spare time you will find Katie skiing in the mountains, paddle boarding, throwing pottery, or singing musical theatre.
