Welcome to the 2024/25 Season!

Peter Oundjian’s third season as Principal Conductor is teeming with incredible programming, renowned guest artists, and revered symphonic works — highlighted by performances alongside legendary violinist Itzhak Perlman, American singer/songwriter LeAnn Rimes, and star of stage and screen Leslie Odom, Jr.

• Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1 featuring Venezuelan pianist Gabriela Montero;
• Beethoven’s ultimate homage to the great outdoors, his Sixth Symphony “Pastorale” led by Kristiina Poska, and also featuring Sibelius’ Violin Concerto with Karen Gomyo;

• Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20 featuring Yeol Eum Son alongside Brahms’ First Symphony and conducted by Jonathon Heyward of the Baltimore Symphony;
• and the Classics finale features violinist Augustin Hadelich performing Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto on a program that also includes Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique.

The Colorado Symphony will screen and perform the scores for several beloved films this season including Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Grinch, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban™, and How to Train Your Dragon along with a symphonic tribute to comedy icon Mel Brooks.

Other highlights of the season include collaborations with some of music’s biggest names including mandolinist Avi Avital and banjo extraordinaire Béla Fleck, plus Red Rocks concerts with Damian Marley & Stephen Marley, rapper and hip-hop artist Nas, and the indie-pop band Lake Street Dive.
