Mini Música is a bilingual, interactive concert experience designed for young children ages 0–7. Presented by the Colorado Symphony, this program features a 16-piece orchestra and a narrator who tells a beloved children’s story through music and song in English and Spanish.
Mini Música is ideal for children ages 0–7! For older children, we would highly recommend our Youth Concerts.
The performance is approximately 45 minutes long (telling a story in two languages takes some time!) Halfway through the performance, the narrator leads attendees through a dance break to help get their wiggles out before finishing the story!
Reservations & Attendance
It depends on the concert! We make every attempt to clearly label on the Mini Música program page whether the event is ticketed by the Colorado Symphony or the venue we are traveling to.
Financial aid is available for the Mini Música performances ticked by the Colorado Symphony. For the 26/27 Season, this includes Boettcher Concert Hall and Northglenn Arts.
Financial aid is available and awarded based on your school’s Free & Reduced Lunch (FRL) percentage. Be sure to provide accurate FRL information on your reservation form.
Our team refers to https://www.cde.state.co.us/schoolview/explore/welcome when needing to confirm FRL percentages.

Refunds & Cancellations
Due to high demand and attrition rates, school groups must finalize attendance and submit payment no later than two weeks prior to the event.
Schools that cancel after that deadline may be charged a $50 cancellation fee, regardless of financial aid status.
Unfortunately, no. Attendance numbers are finalized two weeks before the concert, and refunds are not issued after payment has been received.
Yes. If your group cannot attend due to weather, transportation issues, or other unavoidable events, we’re happy to help. Based on availability, we can reschedule your visit or issue a refund. Please contact the Box Office at (303)623-7876 or tickets@coloradosymphony.org as soon as possible.
Performance Details
Performances are held at various venues throughout the Denver metropolitan area.
Mini Música performances vary—some are scheduled on weekdays, while others are held on weekends.
Absolutely! Babies, toddlers, and young children are encouraged to attend. This concert is designed with early childhood development in mind and welcomes the joyful sounds of little ones.
Accessibility & Behavior
Seating is assigned based on group size. Special seating requests are not accepted, but accessible seating is available—please contact us in advance if needed.
We understand that young children are naturally curious and expressive. Families and educators are encouraged to help children engage appropriately—clapping, dancing, and responding to music are welcome! We simply ask that adult chaperones or caregivers help guide behavior to maintain a calm environment.

*For schools arriving by bus with teachers driving, please ensure this is communicated no later than 1 month prior to the concert. The Colorado Symphony team will work with the City of Denver to reserve parking meters along Champa Street.
Light Rail: take the D, F, or H line to the Theatre District/Convention Center stop. Walk two blocks west on 14th Street, then turn left into the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Boettcher Concert Hall is at the southwest end.
We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the concert start time to allow time for parking, check-in, and seating. Please factor in additional time for traffic and unloading.
Facilities & Expectations
After the 10:00AM performance, yes! But please be as quick as possible. Your group may exit towards Sculpture Park immediately to allow seating for the next performance. You may reenter the building once the 11:30AM performance begins.
After the 11:30AM performance, your group may use the restrooms on their way out. Once event staff has left for the day, our Box Office will no longer be able to allow entry to the hall due to security and safety concerns. Boettcher concert hall restrooms are not available after 1:00PM.
We strongly encourage using the restroom before the concert or allowing quiet restroom trips during the performance with a chaperone.
Eating inside Boettcher Concert Hall is not permitted. Groups are welcome to eat outdoors in Sculpture Park afterward, weather permitting.
Wehighly discourage11:30 AM school groups from arriving early to eat lunch prior to the performance. The only space available is Sculpture Park, which acts as the pick up location for 10:00 AM school groups. Buses for the 10:00 AM concert will already be lined up, so there is no guarantee of a convenient location for drop off. If it is a necessity, we recommend you unload at Sculpture Park (or along Champa Street) to eat lunch, and then walk up Arapahoe Street and take a right onto 14th Street. There, a member of our team will get you checked in.
Yes, but space is very limited. If possible, please leave lunches on the bus. If you must bring them inside, our ushers will direct you to a storage area.
