ANNOUNCING THE FLAMING LIPS PERFORMING THE SOFT BULLETIN AND MORE WITH THE COLORADO SYMPHONY
The Flaming Lips return to Colorado for a special one-night performance at Boettcher Concert Hall

December 17, 2018 – Denver, CO – Today the Colorado Symphony announces a special performance with The Flaming Lips, featuring a performance of their acclaimed 1999 album, The Soft Bulletin, in its entirety, conducted by Christopher Dragon at Boettcher Concert Hall on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 7:30 p.m.

This marks the second collaboration between The Flaming Lips and Colorado Symphony following their acclaimed Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre performance on May 26, 2016, which also featured a full performance of The Soft Bulletin. This 2019 performance precedes the much-anticipated release of a live album recorded during the 2016 concert, which is slated for release later this year.

2016’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre performance was considered “One of the most anticipated concerts of Red Rock’s 75th anniversary season” and was also The Flaming Lips’ debut with a symphony orchestra.

“It’s a thrill for our musicians to be collaborating once again with legendary music innovators Wayne Coyne and The Flaming Lips,” said Tony Pierce, Chief Artistic Officer. “Fans from Colorado and around the world experienced an unforgettable performance at Red Rocks in 2016 and we’re delighted to welcome them to Boettcher Concert Hall in 2019 for what promises to be another incredible evening of music.”

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, December 21, 2018, 10 a.m. MST, and will be available at coloradosymphony.org/tickets, or by visiting or calling the box office at 303.623.7876. Subscribers to the Colorado Symphony’s e-newsletter will receive a special pre-sale code on Tuesday, December 14, at 5 p.m. MST.
