The Colorado Symphony is celebrating a successful season as they get ready to announce the 2026-2027 season.
“So you redently announced the 26/27 season. You’re starting our with bang, tell us about that bang”
“Well it’s the 200th anniversary since Beethoven died. Believe it or not, he died in 1727. So we’re going to start with Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, which everybody should experience at least once in their life I think. And then later in the season, we’re doing his other most popular symphony, the Fifth Symphony. And we have Jeffrey Kahane, who’s one of my former music directors, great pianist, who’s going to play the Emperor Concert. So there are two celebrations of Beethoven during the season…”
