COLORADO SYMPHONY ANNOUNCES RACHMANINOFF PIANO CONCERTO NO. 2

WITH NATASHA PAREMSKI AT RED ROCKS AMPHITHEATRE

Brett Mitchell leads the Colorado Symphony in a stellar evening under the stars on May 31, 2018

 

Mar. 5, 2018 – Denver, CO – The Colorado Symphony and AEG Presents Rocky Mountains announce Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2 at Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 7:30 p.m.

Music Director Brett Mitchell will be joined by renowned pianist Natasha Paremski as they take the stage for their Red Rocks debuts with the Colorado Symphony. Mitchell will lead the orchestra through a stellar evening under the stars including a celebratory nod to Leonard Bernstein’s centennial anniversary in Overture to Candide while Paremski performs the thrilling centerpiece of the program, Rachmaninoff’s wildly popular Piano Concerto No. 2. The performance concludes with Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4, one of his most revered symphonies.

The evening will showcase the Colorado Symphony performing incredibly powerful classical repertoire while spotlighting Red Rock Park & Amphitheatre as a truly stellar, acoustically-sound, world renowned outdoor venue.
