Cynthia Erivo to Headline Colorado Symphony’s 2025 Gala Benefit Concert

CYNTHIA ERIVO TO HEADLINE COLORADO SYMPHONY’S 2025 GALA BENEFIT CONCERT 

Tickets for the May 10 concert are available for standalone purchase; Gala tickets also available. 

Nov. 18, 2024 – Denver, CO – The Colorado Symphony is thrilled to announce An Evening with Cynthia Erivo and the Colorado Symphony on May 10, 2025, at Boettcher Concert Hall. This special benefit concert, featuring Erivo’s extraordinary vocal and interpretive talent backed by the full orchestra, will serve as part of the Symphony’s largest annual fundraising event — the 2025 Colorado Symphony Frontier Gala. Concert tickets are available as a standalone purchase, with a portion of each ticket—$25— directly supporting the Colorado Symphony’s Gala fundraising efforts. Sponsorships for the Frontier Gala, also taking place on May 10, are available at coloradosymphony.org. Individual tickets for the Frontier Gala will be available in 2025. 

Known for her powerhouse performances on both stage and screen, Cynthia Erivo is a Tony®, Emmy®, and GRAMMY® Award-winner and two-time Oscar nominee, celebrated for her transformative roles in The Color Purple, Harriet, and numerous other works including the upcoming film adaptation of Wicked. Her appearance with the Colorado Symphony promises an evening of unparalleled artistry as she gives voice to music made famous by the greatest female singers of all time featuring an array of beloved Broadway hits and soul-stirring standards. 

This benefit concert offers patrons a unique opportunity to enjoy world-class music while supporting one of Denver’s leading cultural institutions and its community education programs. While An Evening with Cynthia Erivo and the Colorado Symphony is part of the Symphony’s Frontier Gala experience, the concert itself is open to all, allowing the broader public to join in this celebration of music and community impact. 

ABOUT CYNTHIA ERIVO 

Cynthia Erivo is a Grammy® Emmy® and Tony® Award-winning actress, singer, author, and producer, as well as an Academy Award®, Golden Globe®, and SAG nominee. Since bursting onto the West End and Broadway stages in “The Color Purple,” she has taken the world by storm. Erivo is set to star as Elphaba opposite Ariana Grande’s Glinda in Universal’s highly anticipated film adaptation of the hit musical WICKED from director Jon M. Chu. Part 1 of WICKED will be released on November 22nd, 2024, with Part 2 releasing on November 21st, 2025. Erivo recently wrapped production on the second season of POKER FACE, Peacock’s critically acclaimed series from creator Rian Johnson starring Natasha Lyonne. Erivo will 

guest star in season two alongside BJ Novak and Margo Martindale. She can recently be seen starring in Disney+’s PINOCCHIO as the Blue Fairy opposite Tom Hanks, Keegan Michael Key and Luke Evans and LUTHER where she starred alongside Idris Elba and Andy Serkis in the feature film installment, which continues the story of the acclaimed BBC crime series. Erivo can currently be seen starring in DRIFT, which Erivo produces with her production company Edith’s Daughter. DRIFT follows a young Liberian refugee named Jacqueline (Erivo) who has barely escaped her war-torn country to a Greek island. The film had its World Premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 22nd, 2023 and opened to rave reviews. Erivo also wrote and recorded an original song for the film entitled “It Would Be.”

Donation: A $25 donation to the Colorado Symphony is included with each ticket purchase.
