The Denver City Council will have a relatively light agenda Monday, but is expected to vote on a $55 million jail healthcare contract and consider a $15 million Colorado Symphony deal that includes control over Boettcher Concert Hall naming rights.
The deal would exempt the existing Boettcher Concert Hall and its immediate surroundings from the procedure for naming public buildings or major components of buildings.
Denver Arts & Venues received $20 million in Vibrant Bond funding toward the $120 million renovation of the concert hall, its first major face-lift since it opened in 1978.
Colorado Symphony has committed to raising at least $15 million toward the project and seeks to do so by selling the building’s naming rights.
The Denver City Council’s regular meeting begins at 3:30 p.m. in the Cathy Reynolds City Council Chamber, with the general public comment session beginning at 5 p.m.
