Youth Concert FAQs
General Information
All ages are welcome! Youth Concerts are designed for students in 3rd grade and above. This is supported with accompanying curriculum to enrich their experience.
Youth Concerts are approximately 45 minutes long.
No physical tickets are issued for Youth Concerts. Your group will be checked in by name upon arrival.
Reservations & Payments
Please provide your best estimate on the reservation form. Once your final numbers are confirmed, contact the Box Office at (303)623-7876 or tickets@coloradosymphony.org to update your order.
Tickets are $7.50 per person, including students, teachers, and chaperones. Financial aid is available and awarded based on your school’s Free & Reduced Lunch (FRL) percentage. Be sure to provide accurate FRL information on your reservation form.
You may pay by calling the Box Office at (303) 623-7876. If paying by check, please include a printed invoice and mail your payment to:
Colorado Symphony Association
ATTN: Education Department
1245 Champa Street
Denver, CO 80204
You can request an invoice by calling or emailing tickets@coloradosymphony.org.
We do not have an online payment portal where you can pay by credit card.
You will receive a confirmation email the same week your reservation is submitted. Additional reminder emails will be sent:
- 6 weeks prior to your concert
- 2 weeks prior, if payment has not yet been received
- 1 week prior with important logistical information (including seating)
These emails are sent manually by a member of the Community Education team. We appreciate your patience.
Contact the Box Office at (303)623-7876 or email tickets@coloradosymphony.org.
Refunds & Cancellations
Unfortunately, no. Attendance numbers are finalized two weeks before the concert, and refunds are not issued after payment has been received.
Yes. If your group cannot attend due to weather, transportation issues, or other unavoidable events, we’re happy to help. Based on availability, we can reschedule your visit or issue a refund. Please contact the Box Office at (303)623-7876 or tickets@coloradosymphony.org as soon as possible.
Arrival & Logistics
Buses: School buses should follow the directions in your Welcome Packet, which includes a parking map and will be send 1 week before the concert.
Cars/Vans: Cars/vans should park in the Denver Performing Arts Complex garage.
Light Rail: take the D, F, or H line to the Theatre District/Convention Center stop. Walk two blocks west on 14th Street, then turn left into the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Boettcher Concert Hall is at the southwest end.
We recommend arriving 30 minutes before the concert start time to allow time for parking, check-in, and seating. Please factor in additional time for traffic and unloading.
Seating is assigned based on group size. Special seating requests are not accepted, but accessible seating is available. Please contact us in advance if accessible seating is needed.
Seating assignments will be emailed one (1) week before the concert.
Facilities & Expectations
After the 10:00AM performance, your group must exit immediately to allow seating for the next performance. You may reenter the building once the 11:30AM performance begins.
After the 11:30AM performance, your group may use the restrooms on their way out.
We strongly encourage using the restroom before the concert or allowing quiet restroom trips during the performance with a chaperone.
Yes, but space is very limited. If possible, please leave lunches on the bus. If you must bring them inside, our ushers will direct you to a storage area.
Eating inside Boettcher Concert Hall is not permitted. Groups attending the 11:30AM concert are welcome to eat outdoors in Sculpture Park afterward, weather permitting. If necessary, 11:30AM groups may eat in the DPAC Galleria.
Please Note: Groups attending the 10:00AM concert may not remain onsite to eat.
Weather & Emergencies
If we cancel the concert, you will be notified via email and/or phone. Please ensure your contact information is up to date on your reservation form.
If your district cancels school or field trips, but the concert is still happening, email tickets@coloradosymphony.org. We will follow up after the concert to discuss rescheduling or refunds.
