EL LATIR DE MÉXICO CONCERT WITH THE COLORADO SYMPHONY BRINGS YOU ONCE AGAIN A UNIQUE HARMONIOUS EXPERIENCE

DENVER – August 26th, 2016 – The Mexican Cultural Center, the Consulate General of Mexico in Denver, the Colorado Symphony and the Metropolitan State University of Denver are thrilled to present its fifth El Latir de México, a free community concert that commemorates the 206th anniversary of the Independence of Mexico, on Thursday, September 15, 7:00 p.m., at Boettcher Concert Hall.
This year’s program consist of music from renowned Mexican composers will be conducted by Andres Lopera, and will include performances by Mexican soprano Monica Abrego, Mariachi Sol de Mi Tierra, directed by Juventino Romero, Mariachi Correcaminos, directed by Lorenzo Trujillo from the Metropolitan State University of Denver and dancers from Fiesta Colorado Dance Company directed by Jeanette Trujillo Lucero.
Our fifth annual El Latir de México concert commemorates the Independence of Mexico and celebrates Mexican culture and its many contributions to our history and our society.
This celebration honors that after 300 years of Spanish rule, a group of Mexicans of Native and European descent led by priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, Ignacio Allende, Juan Aldama, José Miguel Domínguez and Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez, prepared a rebellion. Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla called the people to join the fight for liberty on the night of September 15th, 1810. This became the beginning of a years-long struggle that culminated in the independence of the territory now known as Mexico.
The free tickets for El Latir de México concert will be available on Thursday, September 1st at the Box Office in Boettcher Concert Hall, located at 1000 14th Street, in the Denver Performing Arts Complex in downtown Denver. Hours are Monday through Friday, 10 am – 6 pm, and Saturday, noon – 6 pm. Tickets are complimentary. Tickets are required for admission to the concert, though tickets do not guarantee admission. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

EL CONCIERTO, EL LATIR DE MÉXICO CON LA SINFÓNICA DE COLORADO TE TRAE UNA EXPERIENCIA ARMONIOSA

DENVER – Agosto 26, 2016 – El Centro Cultural Mexicano, el Consulado General de México en Denver, la Sinfónica de Colorado y la Universidad Estatal Metropolitana de Denver se complacen en presentar El Latir de México, un concierto que conmemora el 206 aniversario de la Independencia de México. Es un evento gratuito para toda la comunidad y se llevará a cabo el 15 de septiembre a las 7:00 p.m., en la sala de conciertos Boettcher.
Este año el programa incluye música de renombrados compositores mexicanos, dirigido por Andres Lopera e incluirá presentaciones estelares de la soprano Monica Abrego, el Mariachi Sol de Mi Tierra, dirigido por Juventino Romero y los bailarines de Fiesta Colorado Dance Company, dirigida por Jeanette Trujillo Lucero.
El quinto concierto anual El Latir de México, conmemora la Independencia de México y celebra la cultura mexicana y sus muchas contribuciones a nuestra historia y sociedad. Esta celebración honra que después de 300 años de dominio español, un grupo de mexicanos de ascendencia indígena y europea liderados por el sacerdote Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, Ignacio Allende, Juan Aldama, José Miguel Domínguez y Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez, prepararon una rebelión. Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla llamó a la gente a unirse a la lucha por la libertad en la noche del 15 de septiembre de 1810. Este fue el comienzo de años de lucha que culminó con la independencia del territorio que hoy se conoce como México.
Los boletos para el concierto El Latir de México estarán disponibles a partir del jueves 1º de septiembre en la taquilla de la sala de conciertos de la Sinfónica, de lunes a viernes de 10:00am a 6:00pm y sábados de 12:00pm a 6:00pm. La entrada es gratuita y el cupo es limitado. Es indispensable contar con un boleto para entrar al concierto, aunque el obtenerlos no garantiza la admisión. Es necesario llegar temprano y los asientos se asignarán en el orden de llegada.
