Annette Brown

Staff Accountant

  • Settled in Denver in 1985 and attended Barbizon Modeling School and Emily Griffith College
  • An avid adventurer, cook, reader, quilter, and gardener

Annette M. Brown (she/her), was born in Oakland, CA and graduated in 1986 from Manual High School. She loved playing flute in her high school marching band and wanted to become a jazz flutist like Yusef Lateef but unfortunately, her silver flute was stolen out of her locker and it took until last year (December 2023) that a good friend gave her a silver flute to play (thanks Joanne)! Raised by her dad and who loved to travel, Annette lived in many cities from Albuquerque, Hartford, Oakland, Oklahoma, Portland, Redmond, and Seattle, before settling in Denver in 1985. After Barbizon Modeling School, Annette attended Emily Griffith for Accounting.

Annette likes to adventure to places she’s never been, fish, go to the mountains, weight-lift, swim, and attend concerts. She likes quilting, gardening and making dishes. Her favorite meals to make are spaghetti, pizza, Cajun green beans, grilled vegetables, soups, and BBQ. Also an avid reader, Annette enjoys books by Terry Brooks and Terry McMillan, including Magic Kingdom for Sale-Sold! and How Stella got her Groove Back. Annette has also dabbled in commercials, acting, and modeling.

“I love the gift of laughter cause life is too short not to enjoy.” – Annette M. Brown
