Lindsay (she/her) is currently the Community Education Coordinator for the Colorado Symphony Association and continues to teach violin and viola lessons from her private studio. She previously directed orchestras at Westminster and Mapleton Public Schools and was the String Teaching Artist at El Sistema Colorado.
Active in music education, Lindsay is the President of the Colorado chapter of the American String Teachers Association (ASTA) and serves as the Vice-Chair for the National ASTA Private Studio Committee. She has presented at the Colorado ASTA , Colorado Music Educators Association and National ASTA conferences and served as a mentor for new teachers through the National ASTA mentor program. Lindsay is passionate about connecting the adult community to music education and performance. She is the Co-Founder of the Bratsche Bunch, an online community connecting adult violists throughout the world with workshops and virtual fieldtrips, is the Assistant Director of the Denver Adult String Camp (DASC) and is published in the ASTA Journal for her work on adult learners.
Lindsay was the recipient of the Mapleton Public School’s Teacher of the Year award in 2015 and the Colorado ASTA’s Exemplary Middle School Teacher award in 2012.
Lindsay can be seen performing on her viola throughout Colorado, most recently with Stratus Chamber Orchestra, Arapahoe Philharmonic and the Evergreen Chamber Orchestra and has collaborated with the Flobots and Khemmis. When not performing music, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her family: hiking, camping, skiing, gardening and baking. She is also a proud advocate of Palisade peaches, as those are from her hometown!
