Auburn Shale Joseph (she/her) serves as the Artistic Coordinator of the Colorado Symphony, where she enjoys combining her passion for music with her background in customer service and team coordination. In this role, Auburn works closely with artist managers and artists, coordinating various aspects of artists’ visits to Denver, ensuring that each performance meets the high standards of the Colorado Symphony.
Auburn graduated from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Arts in Voice Performance and holds a high school diploma from the Denver School of the Arts. Her education has provided her with a solid foundation in the arts, which she now channels into her professional endeavors.
Prior to her current position, Auburn gained valuable experience in the retail industry. As an Assistant Store Manager at Free People, she developed skills in customer service, problem resolution, and team management. Auburn’s responsibilities included handling customer inquiries, developing client relationships, and managing store operations with care and attention to detail. She also held various roles at Anthropologie, including Sales/Omni Supervisor and Senior Sales Associate. In these positions, Auburn focused on customer satisfaction, order fulfillment, and supporting her team to perform at their best.
Outside of her professional life, Auburn is passionate about the arts. In 2021, Auburn had the opportunity to perform in an original play, Zaryn as Zaryn, at the Denver Fringe Festival. The play was written and directed by local artist Nadiya Jackson, allowing Auburn to contribute to the vibrant local arts scene. She enjoys exploring new musical genres, attending live performances, and engaging with the local artist community. Auburn is dedicated to promoting the cultural vitality of her region and supporting local artists.
