Coreen Miller (she/her) joined the Colorado Symphony as Chief Financial Officer in July 2015.  During her period as CFO, the Symphony’s finances have improved and stabilized, growing from an annual expense budget of $13 million in her first year to $21 million in fiscal year 2025.  She added the role of Chief Operating Officer during 2017 and further served as interim Chief Executive Officer from September 2022 through April 2023, negotiating several union contracts and navigating the challenges of the pandemic.

Prior to joining the Symphony, Coreen had over 30 years of accounting experience.  That experience includes governmental and not-for-profit accounting, primarily in education, and eight years in public accounting beginning with a Big 8 accounting firm and ending as a partner with Kemper CPA Group, a regional accounting firm in Illinois and Indiana.  She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in both Colorado and Texas.

Coreen graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.  She currently lives in downtown Denver and loves the energy and vibrancy of downtown living and the performing arts. She and her husband, Michael have been married for over 43 years and have two wonderful sons and daughters-in-law and are enjoying spending time with their first grandson.
