Orchestra Librarian

Librarian Lyle Wong (he/him) earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and an Artist Diploma from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, both in Clarinet Performance. His teachers include Fred Orman, Richie Hawley and Ron Aufmann.

As an orchestral musician, Lyle is the Utility Clarinet and Bass Clarinet of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. He was perviously a member of the Delaware Symphony Orchestra, Opera Cleveland Orchestra and the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas. He has also appeared on recordings with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra.

Lyle joined the Colorado Symphony Orchestra as Principal Librarian in 2020. He has served as Assistant Librarian for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra; and Head Librarian for the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Music Academy of the West, Orchestra of the Americas and Breckenridge Music Festival.

Lyle has been a member of the Major Orchestra Librarians’ Association since 2015. A native of of Honolulu, Hawaii, he is a peak bagging and high-ridge enthusiast.
