On Tuesday, November 18, the Colorado Symphony discontinued its live broadcasts series with Colorado Public Radio, originally scheduled through the 2014/15 season.
While these live broadcasts have reached music lovers across Colorado, we were unable to reach an agreement with Colorado Public Radio that reflects the value of the Colorado Symphony’s first-rate content and benefit to Colorado Public Radio listeners.
The Colorado Symphony constantly seeks new and varied ways to connect with audiences, and we will continue to pursue and build partnerships that support our mission as well as our organizational operations.
As one of the state’s leading cultural institutions, the Colorado Symphony anticipates continued editorial coverage by Colorado Public Radio, including CPR Classical and CPR’s Arts Bureau. The Colorado Symphony will continue to make guests artists and musicians available to CPR for interviews, in-studio performances, and other appearances, and will maintain relationships with CPR producers, editors, and on-air personalities.
