THE TEN TENORS – “HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS” CHRISTMAS EVE PERFORMANCE PRESENTED BY DENVER ARTS & VENUES AND THE COLORADO SYMPHONY

Oct. 25, 2016 – DENVER – In a co-promotional effort, Denver Arts & Venues and the Colorado Symphony are pleased to announce The TEN Tenors – “Home for the Holidays” on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016, at 2 p.m. in Boettcher Concert Hall at Denver Performing Arts Complex.

The TEN Tenors celebrate the 2016 holiday season touring the U.S. from their native Australia, preparing for their 20th anniversary tour in 2017.

“Home for the Holidays” is a magical experience for the whole family that will dazzle, delight and captivate audiences. Join Australia’s rock stars of the opera as they amaze and enthrall with their unique selection of traditional and contemporary seasonal favorites. With soaring versions of “Joy to the World, Sleigh Ride,” “White Christmas,” “Amazing Grace,” “Winter Wonderland,” “Feliz Navidad,” and many more, “Home for the Holidays” is the perfect way to celebrate the spirit of the season.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 28, at 10 a.m., and will be available online at www.axs.com

The TEN Tenors are undoubtedly one of Australia’s greatest entertainment success stories, with more than 90 million people worldwide witnessing their unmistakable charm, camaraderie and vocal power. Following 16 years of sell-out performances across the globe, including more than 2,000 of their own headline concerts, The TEN Tenors have cemented their place as Australia’s premier classical-crossover group.

Celebrated for their colorful repertoire, breathtaking arrangements, and powerful live performances, The TEN Tenors respectfully tip their hats not only to the great classical composers, but to contemporary music’s most popular artists. From Buckley to Bocelli, an evening with The TEN Tenors is guaranteed to surprise and delight in equal measure.

Amidst their own explosive live concert experiences and remarkable achievements, including six platinum and gold records and over 3.5 million concert tickets sold, the TEN Tenors have also performed alongside countless music legends including Andrea Bocelli, André Rieu, John Travolta, Nicole Kidman, Geoffrey Rush, Keith Urban, Rod Stewart, Alanis Morissette, Sarah Brightman, Willie Nelson, Katherine Jenkins and Christina Aguilera.

They’re no strangers to television, either, with iconic appearances on some of the world’s biggest broadcast events, including performing exclusively for chat show queen Oprah Winfrey on “Oprah’s Ultimate Australian Adventure,” appearing on the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon for an audience of 32 million viewers, and Poland’s 2012 UEFA Cup in Warsaw.

Scott Muller, long-serving member of The TEN Tenors, says, “So many people, particularly men, turn up to a show, having been dragged by their wives, arms folded, thinking they’re going to watch us croon to the ladies and serve up yet another watery classical-crossover show. Not too far into the show they realize we are a group of down-to-earth Aussie blokes who have power and guts in our performance, and they leave not only pleasantly surprised, but fans themselves.”

The group’s producer, D-J Wendt, adds, “We like to think audiences come to our show to hear arias and classical pieces that will give them goose bumps like they have never felt before. With our shows, we know they will get that, but we promise to also make you feel like you have just rocked out or been to the best party you have been to in ages.”
