Youth Concerts

We're saving a seat for young audiences at Boettcher Concert Hall to celebrate Beethoven's Birthday and experience Drums of the World. Each year more than 20,000 students in grades 3 – 12 (and beyond!) engage with the Colorado Symphony to learn about and experience the exciting, engaging, and enriching world of symphonic music. Advance classroom study will be supported by Colorado State Music Standards and Common Core aligned materials featuring this program’s repertoire.

Grades: 3 – 8

Time: Two performances daily: 9:50 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. (50 minutes)

Curriculum Connections: Music, Literature, Social Studies

Cost: $5 per student/adult. For groups of 20 or more, the coordinating teacher attends free. Financial assistance is available.

Beethoven's Birthday

Ludwig van Beethoven is having a birthday celebration and you’re invited! Join the Colorado Symphony as we imagine which of Beethoven’s friends would celebrate with him. Students will hear music by the birthday boy himself, by composers who influenced him, and by composers who were affected by him. Get your party hats ready and make your reservations early!
