Bring our musicians to you!

Request a visit from a Colorado Symphony musician to lead instrument demonstrations, workshops, and coaching.

The Colorado Symphony is proud to be able to bring musicians into schools and community venues! Whether you’re looking for performance opportunities to introduce students to the instruments of the orchestra, cross-disciplinary programs that meet state standards, or sectional coachings for your ensemble, we have something for every classroom. Choose between our pre-curated Meet the Instruments visit or a custom visit.

In-Person visit requests are subject to availability; Virtual visits are an option. Financial assistance is available thanks to the generous support of our donors.

Meet the Instruments

Bring the Colorado Symphony musicians to your school for a fun, engaging demonstration of the different instrument families. Schools can customize the number of musicians they would like and what instrument families they prefer. Musicians will perform, talk about the instruments and what it’s like to be a musician and finish with a Q & A for students to ask their own questions.

Grades 6 – 12

Our 6th – 12th grade In-School Program offers teachers the chance to bring Colorado Symphony Musicians into classrooms to work with students in a collaborative and inclusive way. This unique program allows teachers to choose a technical or musical focus area for musicians to teach during sectionals and coinciding repertoire the musicians will perform for the students.

In-School programs consist of a string quartet by default but we recognize that may not work for you. Please let us know if you prefer a trio and/or a bass player.

  • String Quartet No. 12 “American” 2nd Mvmt – Antonin Dvořák
