COLORADO SYMPHONY POSTPONES CONCERTS AND EVENTS THROUGH APRIL 12, 2020
A variety of options for ticketholders offered for 2019/20 Concert Season.
Mar. 13, 2020 – Denver, CO – The Colorado Symphony Association will postpone concerts and events effective immediately through April 12, 2020 in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19. All ticketholders will be notified directly of the postponement via email and offered a variety of options concerning their tickets.
All events at City-owned venues, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre (and Visitor Center), Denver Coliseum, Colorado Convention Center, Denver Performing Arts Complex including Boettcher Concert Hall, and the McNichols Civic Center Building, have been suspended through April 12. This includes gatherings of more than 250 people. Additionally, McNichols Civic Center Building will be closed to the public through April 12, 2020.
These postponements are consistent with the mandate from Colorado Governor Jared Polis cancelling all events and public gatherings of 250 people or more. There will be no Colorado Symphony content available during this time.
The following events have been postponed at this time with rescheduled dates and more information to be announced at a later date.
March 13-14: The Music of Queen with the Colorado Symphony
March 15: Carnival of the Animals
March 16: Avon Elementary in-school educational program with Colorado Symphony
March 17: Music Moves: Yoga with the Colorado Symphony
March 17: Women of Note Luncheon
March 18: Beethoven and Brews at the Farm House at Breckenridge Brewery
March 20-22: Marin Alsop Conducts
March 26: Music and Art: A Symphonic Exploration Open Rehearsal
March 27: Music and Art: A Symphonic Exploration
March 28-29: Disney’s Fantasia In Concert
March 31: Chamber Musicale
April 3-5: Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 4
Tickets for these dates will be valid for rescheduled dates at this time. The following additional options are available for ticketholders:
• Click here to donate your ticket(s) and receive a tax deduction for the total ticket value.
• Click here to exchange your ticket(s) to the above performances for any future 2019/20 Season performance. All exchange fees will be waived in this situation.
• Exchange your ticket(s) for a gift certificate or on account credit, which can be used at any time during the 2019/20 Season, by calling the Box Office at 303.623.7876.
• Unfortunately, refunds will only be offered if the postponed performance cannot be rescheduled at a later date. Thank you for your patience as we work through this incredibly unique situation.
All requests for ticket donations, exchanges, gift certificates, and refunds must be received by June 30, 2020. For assistance, please contact the Box Office by phone at 303.623.7876 or in person at the Boettcher Concert Hall Box Office. The Box Office is open Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Saturday, noon – 6 p.m.
The Colorado Symphony remains in communication with our internal teams, peer organizations, Denver Arts and Venues, the State of Colorado, and the City and Country of Denver to stay on top of this rapidly changing situation. We will continue to follow the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and local health authorities including the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment (DDPHE). Updates to each event status will be conveyed via email as more information becomes available. This web page will also be updated regularly with any changes.
There is no higher priority to our entire Colorado Symphony community than the safety of our guests, musicians, and staff.
