Enjoy the Culturally Rich Side of Colorado

On any day, there are so many wonderful things to do in Colorado that it can feel daunting to make a decision about how to spend your free time. While recreational activities abound in our beautiful city, there are many other fun things to do in Denver for your exercise rest days or when you simply want to feed your musical and artistic cravings.

You might consider spending an afternoon or evening with us at the Colorado Symphony. We offer you a wide array of experiences that can involve you and your partner, or you can bring the kids for concerts and special events geared specifically toward their growing knowledge and love of music. With our commitment to serving the community with culturally enriching musical experiences, we hope that you will visit for some of the special types of programs that we offer.

What Types of Musical Programs Can You Expect from the Colorado Symphony?

With such a rich array of musical talent and savvy citizens, we understand that we have to continually update our programs and offerings to keep our exceptional pool of musicians challenged and our eager audience intellectually sated. Take a look at some of our wonderful events to see what piques your interests.

  • The Colorado Symphony Ball - Each April, the workers at the Colorado Symphony transform the Fillmore Auditorium into a ballroom where guests enjoy that perfectly classic blend of rock music and classical music under one exquisitely beautiful roof. This fundraising event focuses on fun and attracts a multigenerational audience of 750 guests. Become an active supporter of the symphony at such an event.
  • Beethoven and Brews - Classical music and beer do go hand-in-hand, as Denver residents have long known. With this 21 years and older fundraising event in an intimate setting, come and enjoy four delicious craft beer samples, hors d'oeuvres and a small musical ensemble from the Colorado Symphony.
  • Petite Musique - This interactive music program serves to introduce Denver's youngest citizens musical instruments and  the power of music. With such a program, young children get a glimpse into how they can become musicians themselves. Children will watch and listen to a 16-piece chamber orchestra, listen to stories about the music, and perform in a sing-along and dance-along in a fun and lively environment. The group will perform the classic The Three Little Pigs for their 2015 audience members.
  • Colorado Symphony 5k - Thank you to all the sponsors, volunteers and participants in our 2014 and 2015 Colorado Symphony 5k's! We regretfully will not be holding the event for 2016 but will be refocusing our efforts to improve your concert experience and to expand current events and fundraisers for the coming seasons.
